Dr Youngjun Kang (Ryan)
Ryan is a GP Registrar with a broad hospital background and a strong interest in building long-term, meaningful relationships with his patients.
He was born in Korea and moved to New Zealand with his family at the age of 15, where he completed his medical degree. After medical school, he relocated to Perth with his wife and has worked at Fiona Stanley Hospital across a range of specialties, including General Medicine, General Surgery, Geriatrics, Orthopaedics, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, and Palliative Care.
Ryan values empathy, cultural understanding, and taking the time to truly listen to his patients. He enjoys supporting people from diverse backgrounds and working collaboratively with them to achieve the best possible long-term health outcomes.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his greyhound and cat. He also stays active through swimming and playing tennis.
