Dr Dilshad Dhaliwal

MBBS (WA), BSc, FRACGP

 

Dr Dilshad Dhaliwal joined South Street Medical Centre in 2015.

 

She graduated from the University of New South Wales, Sydney in 2007 and moved to Perth in 2010. She then upskilled her paediatric skills with a Diploma in Child Health and spent a few years working in Princess Margaret Hospital.  She started working in general practice in 2014 and was awarded her Fellowship in General Practice in 2017.

 

Dr Dhaliwal enjoys working in all aspects of general practice from acute illnesses, routine immunisations, lifestyle medicine, chronic diseases, preventive medicine as well as travel medicine. In particular, she has an interest in the paediatric population from newborns to teenagers. She also has a keen interest in Women’s health and is happy to be involved in shared antenatal care and family planning. She is qualified for Implanon insertions and removals. Mental health is another big area of interest for Dr Dhaliwal and she is able to create a management plan with a patient centred focus.

Registrar Doctors

 

Reflecting its leading role in general medical practice in Western Australia, South Street Medical Centre is also a training practice. This means that fully-qualified doctors, who have completed their 4 years of training in hospital medicine, spend up to eighteen months working in the practice to develop their skills.

 

We usually have at least one GP Registrar and you may be offered an appointment with him/her at the surgery.
