South Street Medical Centre collects information about you for the purposes of conducting and improving our business as a health services provider. WHAT we do and DON’T do with your personal information
Firstly, we will NEVER sell, provide, or allow your personal information to be viewed by anyone other than team members employed by South Street Medical Centre (who are bound by our internal confidentiality policies). We may occasionally hire other companies to provide services on our behalf. Such companies will be permitted to obtain only the personal information they need to deliver the service. South Street Medical Centre has internal confidentiality processes and procedures and take reasonable steps to ensure that these organisations are bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations in relation to the protection of your personal information.
HOW we ensure accuracy and security of your personal information
Because much of the information provided is sensitive health information, we have invested in steps to protect the personal information we hold against loss, unauthorised access, use, modification or disclosure and against other misuse. When no longer required, personal information is destroyed in a secure manner or deleted.
All information collected by manual enter is entered by you the patient. Only approved and authorised South Street Medical Centre staff can access this information with access passwords when required, for the purposes of their role of employment.

Notice Regarding Emails:
Email is not a secure form of communication and we do not use this to communicate personal information to patients without their consent. Whilst we make every effort to keep your information secure it is important for patients to be aware of the risks associated with electronic communication, in that the information could potentially be comprised and accessed by someone other than the intended recipient. Patients must be aware that any communication they direct to the surgery via email is also NOT secure and confidentially cannot be guaranteed. Patients communicating through email do so at their own risk. If you do choose to contact the surgery via email this will be considered as patient consent to reply via email. We endeavour to reply to all emails within 2 working business days.
Our emails are checked on a regular basis, however they are not constantly monitored. If you have an issue that requires urgent attention, we request that you contact the practice via telephone on 9337 7888.
